I am a researcher at Sony Electronics Inc., where I create technologies under the hood of Sony's next generation products. My research interests include computer vision, image/video processing, machine learning and computer graphics.

Before joining Sony, I had been affiliated with Siemens, Google and Microsoft, working on a variety of R&D projects related to vision, learning and signal processing.

I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the ECE department, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working with Prof. Thomas S. Huang in the IFP group of Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. My doctoral research focused on projects related to the analysis and synthesis of human faces, including recognition, 3D reconstruction, alignment and tracking.
